Our real estate transaction was far from ordinary. We entered escrow in late 2023, but due to numerous complications on the sellers’ end, the transaction did not close until 2025, more than an entire year later. Throughout this unprecedented delay, Jon remained steadfast, communicative, and relentlessly solution-oriented by maintaining communication with the sellers and us. He never once faltered in his commitment to us and continued to advocate for our interests every step of the way. From the very beginning, Jon's skill as a negotiator was evident. Because of his experience and extensive knowledge of the current market, he secured a purchase price $65,000 below asking and negotiated an additional $10,000 in the form of four credits after we were already in contract. Recognizing the danger of a potential long escrow process, Jon went a step further and negotiated an early occupancy agreement that allowed us to move in a full year before closing by simply covering HOA fees. This not only gave us peace of mind, stability, and, not to mention, a place to stay, but also allowed us, at Jon’s recommendation, to invest our purchase funds during the waiting period, ultimately helping us earn additional income. Jon's professionalism extended far beyond the transaction itself and what should usually be the expected scope of his work. When a family vacation coincided with a critical phase in our purchase, Jon ensured seamless service by introducing a trusted secondary agent to assist in his absence. Although Jon never mentioned this subject, my wife and I knew very well that this extra level of service would significantly reduce his compensation for our transaction. We will forever be grateful for this exceptional care and sacrifice. On top of all this, understanding the intricacies and tax implications of our unique situation, Jon also connected us with his personal CPA and financial advisor, offering resources that helped us confidently navigate the broader economic picture of homeownership.
